Verify the Logo Before Digitizing
AI artwork can create letters that only look correct at a glance or can change details between versions. Confirm spelling, dates, symbols and brand marks before paying to digitize the design.
Once a logo is approved, keep a clean master so future embroidery and print work start from the same source.
Remove Decorative Effects That Are Not Part of the Brand
AI often adds lighting, mockup shadows, textured backgrounds and surface effects. These may make the concept look impressive but should not automatically become part of the actual logo.
A clean flat artwork version makes production decisions easier.
Create an Embroidery Version
The brand artwork and embroidery artwork do not need to contain identical microscopic detail. Small gaps can be opened, thin lines strengthened and gradients simplified while preserving the recognizable identity.
Professional brands often use production specific versions for different decoration methods.
Plan for Multiple Sizes
A cap, left chest shirt and jacket back may each need a different embroidery file. Small text that works on a jacket back may need to be removed from a cap version.
Keep the logo consistent in appearance while adapting the stitch construction to each application.
Keep Rights and Source Records Separate From Digitizing
Digitizing does not establish ownership of an image or logo. Businesses should make sure they have the right to use the artwork they submit and keep their source records outside the embroidery file.
Naan Designs can explain production limitations, but ownership questions may require separate legal guidance.
