Native OFM Files
Native OFM designs are built in a Melco DesignShop workflow. Changing a machine stitch file to an OFM extension does not make its original design objects editable.

What Makes a Native OFM File Different?
OFM is used in Melco DesignShop workflows and can store more design information than an expanded machine stitch file such as DST. When a design is created as an OFM design, object information can support editing of elements such as stitch properties, sequencing, colors, and other design settings depending on how the file was built.
Importing a stitch only file and saving it as OFM does not automatically recreate the original object based design structure. If you expect to revise text, sizing, or design elements in Melco DesignShop later, request native editable OFM work when you submit your artwork.

Is OFM different from DST?
Yes. Native OFM can preserve editable design objects. DST is mainly a stitch based machine format.
Can I edit a converted DST as a native design?
Saving an existing stitch file with an OFM extension does not recreate the original editable design objects.
