About Naan Designs: Built From Embroidery Experience
Our roots go back to working with Melco embroidery machines and learning firsthand why dependable, truly editable embroidery files matter. Long before we launched our website in 2016, we were solving these challenges for our own embroidery needs.
Today, Naan Designs supports embroidery shops and apparel businesses throughout the USA and worldwide with professional digitizing, flexible file formats, and a dedicated online customer portal.
How it began
Our Story Started Before the Website
Before Naan Designs became a public website, our experience began with Melco embroidery machines and DesignShop software. Finding native editable OFM files was a recurring challenge. A file that could run on an embroidery machine did not always provide the editing flexibility needed in DesignShop.
That firsthand problem helped shape our approach to digitizing. A useful embroidery file needs more than stitches. It needs to suit the machine, software, garment, and production requirements of the business using it.
What started as work for our own embroidery needs gradually grew into helping other customers. In the early days, artwork and instructions arrived through email and social media groups, and completed designs were delivered through direct communication.
In 2016, we launched the Naan Designs website. As customer needs grew, the ordering experience evolved into the customer portal used today.

Our approach
Designed for Real Embroidery Workflows
A left chest logo, structured cap, embroidered patch, and jacket back do not necessarily need the same stitch construction. We prepare files with the intended garment and application in mind, rather than treating every project as a simple image conversion.
Our services include native editable Melco OFM digitizing, Wilcom EMB digitizing, and common machine formats such as DST, PES, and EXP. We also provide vector art conversion for customers who need scalable artwork.
Customers can select Budget, Basic, or Rush service according to the project and production schedule. Turnaround times are counted during our business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Central Time.
